In early November, the Jerusalem CVB hosted its second FAM trip for influential members of associations and decision makers, PCO’s/ DMC’sinterested in new destinations for their upcoming international conferences and inventive events.
Besides offering the group a three-day itinerary, FAM trip participants met with leading academic professionals, as well as key figures from the Hi-Tech and Bio-Tech industry. They also; gain insight into growing their businesses by packaging Jerusalem venues and attractions.Other highlights of the program included touring Jerusalem by Segway, visiting historical sites, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Western Wall, and experiencing Jerusalem’s vibrant nightlife.
As part of the Jerusalem CVB FAM trip, we were privileged to host Mr. David Bodor, ICCA's regional EU office and Mr. Paul Vallee, Best Cities Alliance Director who discussed the opportunities of international conferences to Jerusalem and the importance of Jerusalem to the international conference arena.
One of the participants emphatically stated that the trip “ The CVB brilliantly sheds light on a broad array of venues that could accommodate groups large and small and I laud them for their demonstration of so many venues that are more than just a meeting place, but an experience for the newcomer as well as a frequent visitor."
The city’s agenda to connect between the academia and the industry and its interest in allocating funding to bring more conferences to Jerusalem is what Mr. Vallee stressed as being the city's strongest selling point towards conference organizers. In fact, he is confident that this and will lead to great success in the city's efforts to become an international conference destination.
Charged with this valuable information about Jerusalem, the FAM trip participants left inspired and empowered to serve as global ambassadors of the Jerusalem CVB.
